Tickets on sale for playoffRelease: 11/23/2008

Tickets for Saturday's NCAA Division II football playoff game between Abilene Christian and Northwest Missouri State at Shotwell Stadium will be on sale beginning Monday at 9 a.m. at the ACU athletics office inside Moody Coliseum.

Advance tickets for Saturday's noon kickoff between NW Missouri State and ACU are $10 for adults and $4 for students, while tickets purchased at the gate are $12 for adults and $6 for students. Groups of 20 more can purchase tickets in advance for $7 apiece. ACU is also selling a Family Pack for $24, which includes two adult tickets and three student tickets. Extra tickets for the Family Pack will be sold for $4 apiece.

Advance tickets will be sold Monday-Wednesday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. ACU fans can call the ACU athletics ticket office at 325-674-6853 to purchase advance tickets, while Northwest Missouri State fans can order advance tickets by calling 325-674-2648.

Fans can also purchase tickets online by going to www.acusports.com and clicking on the "Online Ticketing" button. The online ticketing option will be available all week, and advance tickets can be purchased online through Friday at 4 p.m.

ACU fans who purchase their tickets over the phone can pick up those tickets Saturday at the northwest ticket gate starting at 10:30 a.m. Northwest Missouri State fans who purchase their tickets over the phone can pick up those tickets Saturday at the northeast ticket gate starting at 10:30 a.m.

This is the second meeting this year between the Bearcats (12-1) and the Wildcats (11-0). ACU won the previous meeting, 44-27, in the season-opener in Maryville, Mo. Northwest Missouri State has advanced to three straight NCAA Division II national championship games, while the Wildcats are in the third round of the playoffs for the first time in school history.

The Bearcats rallied for a 38-35 win over Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association rival Pittsburg State (Kan.) on Saturday, while the Wildcats beat Lone Star Conference rival West Texas A&M in record-setting fashion, 93-68, at Shotwell Stadium. The Wildcats are the first LSC team to reach the national quarterfinals since Central Oklahoma in 2003.

This week's game will kickoff at noon at Shotwell Stadium with the winner advancing to the national semifinals (Saturday, Dec. 6) to face the winner of Saturday's Region Two quarterfinal matchup between Gulf South Conference rivals Delta State (Miss.) and North Alabama. Delta State knocked off North Alabama, 34-28, earlier this season.
